Optional vs. Required vs. Go-to-class-first
Each textbook is designated as either Required or Optional or "Go to class first". These are designations assigned by course instructors or department heads to assist students in determining which materials to purchase for a given course. A Required designation generally indicates that the text will be needed for in-class assignments and/or homework. However, your instructor may or may notuse textbooks designated as Optional or Go to class first.To avoid unnecessary trips to the bookstore (all returns must be made in-person), do not order textbooks designated as Optional or Go to class first until afterattending your first class and receiving specific guidance from your instructor on which textbooks will be used for the class. Students are encouraged to check the site often as we receive textbook shipments daily and promptly update the site to reflect textbook availability.Note: A textbook showing as Check Back - Due in Soon online will also be out of stock in the Campus Bookstore as well as both work from the same inventory.[top of page]

Please note that phone orders require payment by credit card. All orders placed by telephone incur a $5.00 shipping fee if sent via UPS however there is no fee if the order is sent via our inter-office mail system to the Laurel College Center for pick up there. [top of page]

Note: All associated materials appear sequenced according to thier $ value within each course. Therefore the least expensive item will show first, the highest priced item last. Read the details of each item carefully as Optional and Required items are inter-mixed within the listing. Each item also now reflects it's associated ten or thirteen digit ISBN #.

Textbook information is accurate when entered on the Booklist and on the website, but may change as different information is received from faculty and/or pubishers, or due to circumstances beyond the control of the Bookstore. Prices shown are subject to change. [top of page]

Used Textbook Option
Some students prefer to purchase used textbooks rather than new. This is one way a student can save money on textbook purchases. Used textbooks typically sell for 25% less than the new textbook price.

Our inventory of used textbooks is limited and changes daily, therefore, the availability of any given text in used condition can not be guaranteed.

To request used textbooks, you must select this option during checkout.

For orders requesting used textbooks, we attempt to fill your entire order with used textbooks. This means that your order may contain ALL, SOME, or NO used textbooks, depending on availability.

When a used textbook is not available we will fill your order with a new one.

Pricing adjustments for orders that include used textbooks will be reflected in the sales receipt that is packaged with your order. [top of page]

Sales Tax
6% Maryland State tax is automatically added to all orders shipped to Maryland residences. [top of page]

Payment Methods
Methods of payment include MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, Diner's Club or by using a Financial Aid Department issued Bookstore Notification form. Note that credit cards are not billed until the order is processed for shipment. [top of page]

Order Changes & Cancellations
We attempt to process all orders quickly for timely delivery. In the event you need to make any order changes, or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will attempt to honor all order changes until it has been shipped. However, once an item has been shipped, we cannot make any order changes or call the shipment back from UPS. Please note that all orders placed online must ship via UPS or thru inter-office mail to the Laurel College Center. We can not hold online orders for pick up at the campus Bookstore. [top of page]
